ThriveWear Face Mask Guidelines

A Mask is Not a Substitute for Other Precautions

Wearing a mask alone will not prevent infection and may create a false sense of security. To protect yourself and others, continue to:

β€’ Maintain at least 1.5m physical distance

β€’ Practice good hand hygieneβ€”wash hands or use sanitizer regularly

β€’ Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue

β€’ Stay home if unwell

β€’ Avoid large crowds and gatherings

Face Mask Tips

β€’ Wash or sanitize hands before putting on or removing your mask

β€’ Ensure the mask covers your nose, mouth, and chin snugly

β€’ Avoid touching the front of your mask while wearing or removing it

β€’ Never let your mask hang around your neck or under your nose

β€’ Do not reuse single-use masks

β€’ Wash and dry reusable masks after use, storing them in a clean, dry place

Who Should Not Wear a Mask

Masks should not be worn by:

β€’ Children under 2 years old (choking/suffocation risk)

β€’ Anyone with breathing difficulties

β€’ Those unable to remove a mask without assistance

β€’ Individuals who rely on lip-reading for communication

Important Information

β€’ This is NOT a medical mask and should not be used in medical or high-risk settings

β€’ Masks do not protect against bacteria or viruses, including COVID-19

β€’ Wearing a mask may help reduce the spread if you are unknowingly infected

Proper Mask Use & Replacement

β€’ Cloth masks should be washed daily

β€’ Reusing a dirty mask can lead to contamination and infection

β€’ Cloth masks lose effectiveness when damp

β€’ Replace your mask if:

β€’ It no longer fits snugly

β€’ It slides down or falls off frequently

β€’ There are holes, thinning, or fraying

Stay safe and continue practicing all recommended precautions.
